National and International Event permits

National Competition Permits

All Australian Championship events are conducted under the authorisation of a National Competition Permit. An application for a permit must be submitted at least three months before the date set for the meeting in accordance with GCR 4.2.2.2 b.

The costs of the MA Permits differ depending on the Australian Championship and this fee for the permit must be paid to MA at least 28 days before the event. The National Competition Permit must be clearly displayed throughout the duration of the event.

INTERNATIONAL RIDERS ENTERING OPEN EVENTS IN AUSTRALIA

IMN: FIM recognised International Championship Events which are open to International Riders require an IMN and the International Rider to hold an FIM Licence. IMN numbers are now only available for International Championship Events run under FIM or FIM Oceania

NMFP: Domestic permitted events which allow International Rider participation requires an NMFP and the International Rider to hold an FIM Licence. All other competitors must hold an MA Annual Senior or Junior Competition Licence.

APPLYING FOR AN NMFP EVENTS

All applications for an NMFP must be:

  • Made at least 8 weeks prior to the Event (higher fees apply for late applications);
  • Using the NMFP Application Form
  • Made to MA and accompanied by:
    • the medical plan; and
    • the applicable fee (see below).
  • MA may, in its discretion, delegate its authority to an SCB to supervise the conduct of an International Event. MA, or an SCB to which MA has so delegated its supervisory authority, as the Relevant Controlling Body (RCB) is responsible to ensure compliance with this NMFP Policy. The Promoter of an International Event found to have been conducted in breach of this NMFP Policy, or the SCB (where the SCB is the RCB) may be sanctioned by a fine of $10,000, plus any amount imposed by the FIM.

Fee: $1,000.00 + GST

Note: Any application submitted less than 14 working days prior to the first day of an International Event will not be accepted.
