The NOAS which aims to:
- Increase confidence and competence in officiating ability;
- Improve communication skills;
- Promote progressive improvement in officiating knowledge and expertise;
- Provide a credible education and training process to attract new officials and retain existing ones; and
- Endure a uniform approach to officiating throughout the country.

Accreditation Renewal
To renew your Official Accreditation, you must demonstrate that you have remained active, kept your knowledge up to date, and successfully completed a competency assessment during your four-year accreditation period.
Requirements for Renewal
- Remain Active as an Official
Officials are expected to have undertaken an officiating role at least four times during their four-year accreditation period. Activity records are reviewed before renewals are processed. - Complete Refresher Training
To stay current with best practice and sport-specific updates, officials must complete any Refresher Training or Role-Specific Motorcycling Australia Learning Centre (MALC) courses. It is recommended that this training is completed before applying for renewal, ideally within the final year of your accreditation period. - Complete a Competency Assessment
All officials must successfully complete a competency assessment during their four-year accreditation period, usually while performing their most senior officiating role. Officials should contact their SCB to arrange an assessment and, where possible, complete it within the final two years before renewal.
How to Apply
- Levels 1–3: Submit your renewal application through your State Controlling Body (SCB).
- Level 4: Complete the Level 4 Officials Upgrade or Renewal Application available in the Officials Documents section of the MA website and submit it to your SCB for endorsement.
