Motorcycling Australia (MA) spoke with upcoming star Travis Hall, who is growing in skill and finesse as he competes in the Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul Pirelli (ASBK). Hall gave MA the insdie edge on his strangest overseas experience to date, and what he hopes to achieve in 2019.
Where are you currently competing?
I am currently competing in ASBK and the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC).
What’s the hardest thing about adapting to your new country?
Adapting to the food and the language.
What do you miss most about home?
Being in my own home and my own bed.
What is your preparation/training regime like?
Right now I’m am training by riding my mountain bike.
What’s been a highlight for you this year?
Getting third place in Race 2 at India in the Underbone 150cc class of the ARRC.
What is your single most motivating force?
My passion and love for motorcycle racing.
Tell us a bit more about what you hope to achieve and what you have already achieved in 2018?
The best thing so far in 2018 is that I have been offered a ride in an Underbone 150cc Team in the ARRC. I hope to finish in the top 10 in the Australia Supersport 300 Championship class and YMF R3 Cup for ASBK and Underbone 150cc for the ARRC.
What’s your strangest overseas experience been so far?
In India there doesn’t seem to be any road rules!

Favourite thing to do besides motorcycling?
Play the Playstation 4 and ride my mountain bike.

Mum says I’m messy but I don’t agree!
