Jarred Brook continues to grow in leaps and bounds as he dominates both on Australian ground and overseas in America for Dirt Track. A local from Gympie, Queensland, Brook spoke with Motorcycling Australia on the upcoming event he’s preparing for, his current training methods, and his single most motivating force as he climbs up through the Dirt Track ranks!
What event/series are you currently preparing for or currently competing in?
I’m going to compete in the first two rounds of the American Flat Track Championship in the AFT Signals class.
What’s the best thing about racing overseas?
The best thing is racing with some of the best riders in the world.
What have you found to be the hardest thing when adapting to your new country?
One of hardest things about being in a different country is adapting to the climate.
What do you miss most about home?
I miss my friends and family!
How are you preparing for your upcoming event?
I’ve been preparing for the event by training at my local F45 gym, cycling with the local cycling club and riding my motorbike with the set up that I’ll be using overseas.
What’s been a highlight for you in your racing career?
My career highlight is from 2016 when I was last in America. When I won three American Amateur Championships and the prestigious Nicky Hayden Horizon Award.
What is your single most motivating force?
Wanting to be the best Dirt Track rider in the world!
Who has helped you the most in your career?
My Mum, Dad and some great sponsors!
Tell us a bit more about what you hope to achieve and what you have already achieved?
I’m a 20 year old carpenter from Gympie, Queensland who holds multiple Victorian, New South Wales, Queensland State Dirt Track Championship titles, plus the Australian Dirt Track Champion title.
This year I hope to achieve top 10 finishes in both American races I’m set to compete in.
