Recognised as the apex of Junior Motocross (MX) competition in Australia, the 2019 KTM Australian Junior Motocross Championship (KTM AJMX) will kick off in Gillman, South Australia from September 28 to October 5. Hosted by the Motocross Riders Association Inc, Motorcycling Australia (MA) can confirm that the 2019 KTM AJMX Supplementary Regulations are now available to view and download, and entries are now open.
The weeklong Junior Championship attracts competitors from all across Australia, as well as international hopefuls, and defending Champions. Upon the close of the 2018 edition in Penguin, Tasmania, 13 national titles were decided, including Regan Duffy, Alex Larwood and Jet Alsop. As Australia’s elite talent emerged from out of the woodwork last year, MA and the Motocross Riders Association Inc. will continue on this trend in Gillman in order to foster a strong junior MX talent pool from which the next Dean Ferris, Chad Reed or Kirk Gibbs could emerge.
“We at KTM are proud to continue our long-standing support of junior motocross racing and once again be the naming sponsor of the Australian Junior Motocross Championship,” explained KTM Marketing Manager, Alan Baratto. “The 2019 KTM Australian Junior Motocross Championship will showcase and support our nation’s young talent over the course of the week in an environment that is truly READY TO RACE.”
