The Sport Australia Hall of Fame (SAHOF) Scholarship & Mentoring Program, supported by the Australian Sports Commission, assists young elite athletes on their journey to reach the highest levels of international competition through financial assistance and unparalleled access to one-on-one mentoring.
Each year, funding is awarded to athletes across a wide variety of disciplines, with Archie McDonald the current motorcycle racing recipient as he competes in the Harley-Davidson Bagger World Cup. Past scholarship holders include Danielle McDonald, Angus Grenfell, Jacob Roulstone and Tom Toparis.
Competitors across all motorcycle racing categories are encouraged to apply for the 2027 SAHOF Scholarship, which is tiered as follows:
Tier 1
Successful recipients will each receive:
• One-on-one personal mentoring from a Sport Australia Hall of Fame Member
• $10,000 sporting expense grant
• Merchandise and recovery equipment
• Invitation to attend SAHOF events to meet fellow scholarship holders and members
• Opportunities to attend development workshops
Tier 2
Successful recipients will each receive:
• $5000 sporting expense grant
• Merchandise and recovery equipment
• Invitation to attend SAHOF events to meet fellow scholarship holders and members
• Opportunities to attend development workshops
Tier 3
Successful recipients will each receive:
• $2500 sporting expense grant
• Merchandise and recovery equipment
• Invitation to attend SAHOF events to meet fellow scholarship holders and members
• Opportunities to attend development workshops
All unsuccessful Tier 1 and Tier 2 applicants will be automatically considered for Tier 3 scholarships.
