Riders' Division Membership FAQ's

I want to go racing - should I join the Motorcycling Australia Riders' Division?

The Riders' Division (non-competitive membership) is intended for non-competition motorcyclists. If you want to race, you'll have to go through the normal process of getting a race licence as described in the Riding section of the website.

When will my membership expire?

Your membership is effectively for 12 months (or 3 or 5 years) from the date we receive your payment. You can expect to get a renewal notice from us about 2 months before your membership expires. Lifetime memberships are for the life of the member and are not transferable.

How can I renew my membership?

You will receive a renewal notice in the mail a month or so before your membership expires. You can pay by Credit Card, cheque or money order.

What are the different levels of membership?

Membership of the Motorcycling Australia costs $35 a year and provides all the benefits of membership, such as the right to participate in certain Motorcycling Australia activities, discounts on goods and services, and regular email newsletters from MA. You can choose to join for 3 years, 5 years or a lifetime, and save even more. Full Life membership can be purchased for a one-off fee of $385.

I lost my membership card. How can I get a replacement?

Call the Motorcycling Australia Riders' Division on 03 9684 0500, or send an email to riders@ma.org.au. You should receive your new card within two to three weeks.

How soon will I get my membership card after I join or renew?

Cards are usually sent in three to four weeks.  You should also receive other information from Motorcycling Australia at the same time.

I already have a Motorcycling Australia Competition or Official's licence. Do I need to join the Riders' Division?

If you have a 12 month Competition or Official's licence you automatically get all the benefits of being a member of the Riders' Division.

I don't have my card and I want to participate in an upcoming event. What do I do?

If you plan to take part in an event in the next three to four weeks, it is best to follow up joining with an email to riders@ma.org.au or by telephone (03 9684 0500) and we'll get your card to you by Express Post. Motorcycling Australia does not refund multiple memberships.
