HIT AIR airbag jackets
HIT AIR are the original 'airbag' motorcycle jackets
that work by using compressed gas to create an airbag cushion.
The range includes dozens of styles of jackets &
vests for sports, touring and commuting and there are summer, winter,
waterproof and lightweight rainproof models. All jackets are of high

Using a CO2 cartridge, the airbag operates
within ½ a second, automatically activated by a lanyard
attached to the bike. The airbag absorbs impacts by compressing at the
point of impact and redistributing the load. It also acts as a body "air
splint" to keep the spine immobile. There is protection at the chest,
neck, shoulders, back, hips and bottom. The airbag, protected by a
Kevlar sleeve is unlikely to be damaged. You can repack and reset the
mechanism in 3-5 minutes. Replacement cartridges are $20.
