CSC Home Loans latest sponsor for Speedway Championship

ImageSydney based lender, CSC Home Loans is the latest company to lend its support to the 2007 Australian 500cc Speedway Motorcycle Championship Series to be conducted over five rounds in January.

CSC Home Loans – whose offices are in St Leonards (North Sydney) – are a leading, full service independent lender, having presided over more than $400 million (AUD) in mortgage loans. The reasoning behind supporting the five round Australian 500cc Motorcycle Speedway Championship Series was simple.

"Holding the Grand Final at the Sydney Showground was the major selling point to us," said CSC Home Loans Managing Director, Neil Brett.

"Being a Sydney based company, the venue is perfect to showcase our products with the sport, whilst entertaining our clients and corporate guests.

"We don’t have a massive marketing budget as opposed to some of our competitors, so we are very selective as to where we place our promotional dollars.

"The Australian 500cc Motorcycle Speedway Championship represents a cost effective way for us to reach our target demographic.

The 2007 Australian 500cc Speedway Motorcycle Championship Series will give CSC Home Loans the opportunity to promote two new products they have brought to the Australian market.

Event Director, Rod Colquhoun was delighted to have Brett onboard.

"To have someone with Neil’s enthusiasm for the sport on board is terrific," he said.

"He’s an asset to the sport and I believe CSC Home Loans will receive the benefit they are looking for from their involvement in the 2007 Australian 500cc Motorcycle Speedway Championship Series."

The series has been expanded to five rounds in 2007 – the fourth time that it will be conducted over a ‘Grand Prix’ format.

A field of 16 riders - including double World Champion, Jason Crump - will race off to win the Australian Championship.

"The organisers of the Championship are taking the sport the way it should be taken," Brett concluded.

"For a long time I have believed the Speedway fraternity should have been making full use of the Homebush venue and the Championship finale will be superb."
